Rooted in Nêhiyaw teachings and informed by broader Indigenous realities, our work focuses on building frameworks that help communities, organizations, and leadership navigate complexity while creating stronger futures grounded in their own values and visions.

 Strong communities require strong governance built on accountability, trust, and collective responsibility. Waskwayak supports Indigenous Nations and leadership in developing governance frameworks, strategic planning processes, community accountability structures, and long-term approaches that strengthen sovereignty and community decision-making. 

 Communities deserve research that begins with their own questions, realities, and priorities. Waskwayak works alongside organizations and communities to develop Indigenous-led research methodologies, evaluation frameworks, evidence-based community studies, and systems designed to create meaningful knowledge that directly serves community needs.

Waskwayak works with organizations and communities seeking long-term change through frameworks grounded in accountability, truth, reflection, and collective responsibility. Conflict itself holds value, often revealing where relationships, systems, and structures require transformation. Through intentional framework development, communities can navigate conflict constructively while building stronger paths forward.

Drawing from decades of work across Indigenous health systems, Two-Spirit advocacy, gender and sexuality initiatives, and community wellness leadership, Waskwayak helps create approaches centered on dignity, belonging, and stronger community wellbeing.
